About Me

Krissy Humphreys

I discovered my passion for Flow Arts in 2006 while living in the Bay Area. Since then, I’ve dedicated myself to sharing and expanding this artform through performance, teaching, and community building.

I am a co‑founder of Vulcan Crew, a Flow Arts performance troupe, and co‑writer/editor of two instructional DVDs (Partner Poi and Poi Technique) with Vulcan DVDs. I also co‑founded Spinagogue Instructional School, where we established a consistent teaching framework with shared language, class outlines, and clear sequencing. Through Spinagogue, we hosted weekend intensives and traveled the West Coast teaching Flow Arts.

I served as Director of Operations and Logistics for FireDrums for 6 years, one of the longest‑running Flow Arts gatherings in the world, managing ticketing, volunteer coordination, and cross‑team communication. For five years, I had the honor of being SHIN for the Vulcan Conclave at Burning Man, organizing our fire performance before the Man burn.

These experiences reinforced my passion for building community through Flow Arts and deepened my skills in large‑scale event production. Along the way, I’ve attended master classes in Paris, performed hundreds of shows, and have taught Flow Arts since 2007.

Now, my mission is to bring together and expand the Flow Arts and Burner community here in Boise. As one of Idaho’s Regional Contacts for the Burning Man Project, I aim to unite anyone who resonates with the 10 Principles and anyone curious about Flow Arts.
I am committed to fostering community by offering family‑friendly, inclusive events where everyone can learn, practice and connect.

Join me in creating a vibrant community!
